Tanzanian music sensation Harmonize has recently expressed his frustration over the recurring issue of his songs being removed from YouTube.
In a statement promoting his latest track, Harmonize shared his concerns, stating, “My YouTube channel is acting up. I’m not sure if someone is tampering with it; songs are being taken down unusually, but it’s all good! Enjoy the music—there’s another music video coming out today. Dem been playing very funny games.”
This isn’t the first time Harmonize has faced such challenges. A few weeks ago, his new song ‘Sherehe’ was mysteriously removed from YouTube, prompting the artist to voice his suspicions on Instagram. The Konde Music Worldwide founder hinted that a Kenyan artist might be behind the takedowns.
Harmonize highlighted that this problem has occurred multiple times, often coinciding with the rising popularity of his songs. He mentioned, “This is not the first time! Whenever a song starts gaining traction, it gets taken down on YouTube. Several times, our investigations reveal that someone claiming to be from Kenya is behind it,” he lamented.
Despite these setbacks, Harmonize emphasized the strong support he receives from his Kenyan fans, saying, “What I know is that Kenyans love and support Konde Boy a lot! From Day 1, we’ve always been together. Pray for Kenya.” He recalled a similar incident in 2020 when his hit song #UNO was removed after a producer, claiming to be Kenyan, wrongly accused him of copyright infringement. The producer later publicly apologized for the mistake.
As Harmonize and his team work diligently to resolve these issues, he reassured his fans that the situation is being handled, particularly with the upcoming release of a new music video. He added optimistically, “There’s nothing we can do; I’m sure he is still a big fan, and I interpret this as another form of love.”
Despite these challenges, Harmonize remains focused on his music, encouraging fans to stay tuned for more content.
