Ivy Namu has announced her separation from media personality and Kisumu senatorial hopeful Willis Raburu.

In a brief Instagram statement on Wednesday, June 17, Namu confirmed that the couple mutually agreed to end their five-year relationship, asking the public for privacy during this time.

“Willis Raburu and I have decided to go our separate ways. Kindly respect our privacy at this moment,” she stated.

Raburu, who has two children with Namu (a son and a daughter), has not yet publicly addressed the breakup. The pair got engaged in July 2022 and first met in 2019 on Citizen TV’s 10 over 10 show.

This split follows Raburu’s previous divorce from his first wife, Marya Prude, which was finalized in April 2021.

Raburu previously cited the loss of their daughter in December 2019 as the catalyst for that marriage’s breakdown.

Currently, Raburu is actively eyeing the Kisumu Senate seat in the 2027 General Election under the Linda Mwananchi movement.

He was recently endorsed by Siaya Governor James Orengo, who praised his youthful energy and media expertise.

“Willis is running for the Kisumu Senatorial seat, and we are thrilled he has chosen to board our bus, a movement fueled by the aspirations of the youth and a drive for a better Kenya,” Governor Orengo announced.

Raburu is yet to issue a statement on his separation from Namu.
