Turkana County officials have issued a one month notice to the Ministry of Education to end leadership wrangles at the varsity.
Speaking during the launch of the women empowerment fund the county officials led by Turkana Governor Josphat Nanok said that the Ministry has not resolved the leadership wrangles at the institution. However the issue was in court for almost a year.
Turkana Women Representative Joyce Emanikor has condemned the manner in which the ministry is handling the matter at hand concerning the former principal of the institution.
“This is a varsity that receives government capitation we want our own people to be in charge of the institution, we want to issue MMUST one month notice by February the CS George Magoha to resolve the matter. We have qualified people who can run the institution but they are denied jobs in the institution,” said Emanikor.
The leaders included legislators Turkana East MP Hon. Ali Lokiru, Hon. John Lodepe Nakara Turkana Central, Hon. Daniel Epuyo from Turkana West and Hon. Christopher Nakuleu.
Turkana Central Member of parliament John Nakara said that he will table a bill on the same to the parliament in order to find solution.
