Ghanaian Prophet "Ebo Noah" Arrested For Making Fake 2025 Flood Prediction

A self-proclaimed Ghanaian prophet, Evans Eshun—popularly known as Ebo Noah—has been arrested by the Ghana Police Service after his doomsday prediction of a world-ending flood on December 25, 2025, caused significant public alarm.

The arrest was carried out by the Special Cyber Vetting Team of the Ghana Police on Wednesday, local time. Images of the handcuffed prophet in police custody quickly went viral on social media, drawing widespread attention to the case.

Viral Prophecy and a Modern Ark

Eshun, who also goes by the name “Ebo Jesus” on Instagram (with over 32,000 followers), gained notoriety for constructing what he claimed was a modern-day Noah’s Ark.

In a widely circulated video, he asserted that God had revealed to him that the world would be destroyed by catastrophic rains and floods on Christmas Day 2025.

Claiming divine instruction, he said he had built 10 boats to save people and planned to live on his ark for three years during the mass flooding.

A Reversal: Claiming to Have Postponed Doomsday

The narrative took a turn when it was revealed that the featured ark did not actually belong to him. Subsequently, in another viral video, Eshun changed his story.

He claimed that through a three-week fast, he had successfully intervened with God to “postpone” the global destruction. He then urged people to celebrate and party, stating the apocalypse had been delayed.

Legal Repercussions for Causing Public Panic

The Ghana Police’s cyber crime unit intervened due to the panic and fear his predictions sowed among the local population. His actions are being treated as a potential threat to public order.

Eshun’s case highlights the increasing scrutiny of online content and prophets whose unverified claims can lead to widespread social disruption.
