A 31-year-old suspect is wanted by Kirinyaga police on allegations of killing his older brother over a love triangle with their younger stepsister.

According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) statement, the suspect, Bernard Njere, killed his elder brother, Samuel Irungu, after confronting him after discovering him in a compromising situation with their younger sister last Saturday.

“Benard Njere killed his elder brother Samuel Irungu, 37, in cold blood, after he confronted him when he found him in a compromising situation with their 17-year old step-sister,” DCI stated.

Before he died, the deceased, who also had an affair with the 17-year-old girl, is said to have attacked his brother, starting a fight.

The suspect then hit the deceased with a blunt object on the head, face, and back, causing serious injuries.

“The deceased who also had a clandestine love affair with the 17-year-old and couldn’t come to terms with what he had witnessed descended on his brother with fury, prompting a fierce fight that led to his demise,” DCI added.
