President William Ruto is scheduled to depart Kenya once more, this time bound for Dubai to participate in the 28th Conference of the Parties (COP28) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
According to a statement released to news outlets on Thursday, November 30, 2023, by State House Spokesperson Hussein Mohamed, President Ruto, recognized as one of the 100 global leaders attending the conference, will underscore the pressing necessity for impactful climate measures to rectify the current course of the world.
“Since his inauguration on September 13, 2022, President Ruto has consistently emphasized the need for tangible climate action to confront the global existential crisis,” Mohamed said.
