Police in Nakuru County are currently conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of a 57-year-old man who was staying in a hotel room with a 21-year-old woman.
According to an official police report, the man, Geoffrey Njoroge Maina, arrived at the hotel around 1 pm on Tuesday, October 24, in the company of a woman named Joy Moragwa.
Several hours later, at approximately 5 pm, the woman approached the hotel’s front desk and informed the receptionist that the man was experiencing “breathing difficulties.” Subsequently, the man was discovered lifeless in his bed.
“This prompted her to seek help from the police. The scene was visited, processed and documented by officers from Kaptembwo Police Station and DCI Nakuru West and found the body lying on the bed with no visible physical injuries,” reads the police statement in part.
The body has been taken to Nakuru County Municipal Morgue for a post-mortem examination.
