This evening, President Uhuru Kenyatta is expected to deliver a speech to residents of the vote-rich Mount Kenya region, a move seen as one of his last attempts to mobilize the locals in support of presidential candidate Raila Odinga.

State House Kenya said in a statement that Uhuru will be interviewed at the state house and that the program will be broadcast live to mountain residents via TV and radio stations that use local dialects.

“President Uhuru Kenyatta will this evening be hosted on radio and television stations that broadcast in Central Kenya dialects for a live interview at State House, Nairobi,” the notice dated Sunday, August 7.
