Nigerian actor John Okafor, professionally known as Mr. Ibu, has undergone two successful surgeries after previously turning to social media to request financial aid for his medical expenses.
On Tuesday morning, Okafor’s adopted daughter provided an Instagram update confirming his improving health condition.
She praised Mr. Ibu for his impressive resilience, observing that despite two significant surgeries, he has continued to display his sense of humor as if nothing had occurred.
She eagerly anticipated her father’s recovery and encouraged him to persevere through the challenges, firmly believing that he would come out of this ordeal even more robust and healthier.
“Never seen anyone so strong… even after two major surgeries, you were still trying to be funny like nothing happened, even in your lowest you still cracked jokes!” she wrote.
“I promise you, if there’s a God in heaven, you are getting out of this bed, stronger and alive. This is the strongest I have seen you in 3 weeks and I’m so excited! Fight this and get well soon, sweet papa.”
