Abby Hensel, one half of the famous conjoined twin pair who rose to fame through TLC’s reality show, has recently married. The 34-year-old, known for her joint appearances with sister Brittany on The Oprah Winfrey Show back in 1996, exchanged vows with Josh Bowling in 2021, as per public records disclosed by Today.
Photographs on the Hensels’ Facebook profile suggest that they have tied the knot, showing the conjoined twins in a wedding gown while Bowling, a nurse and former United States Army member, stands beside them in a grey suit, holding their hand.
Presently, the twins, who hail from Minnesota, where they were born and brought up, work as fifth-grade teachers. Images on Bowling’s Facebook page exhibit his joyous moments with the twins, including shared ice cream treats and travels.

His profile description underscores his identity as a Christian, father, husband, veteran, and occasional gamer.
The Hensels are a unique pair of conjoined twins known as dicephalus, characterized by having two heads situated side by side on a single torso. They possess a shared bloodstream and all organs below the waist. Abby has command over their right arm and leg, whereas Brittany controls the left.
After their appearance on Oprah, the Hensels’ journey was chronicled in the reality show “Abby & Brittany” on TLC. The series showcased their experiences as they worked towards graduating from Bethel College in Minnesota and later embarked on a trip to Europe.
“People have been curious about us since we were born, for obvious reasons,” the twins said in the first episode of the eight-part series, according to ABC. “But our parents never let us use that as an excuse. We were raised to believe we could do anything we wanted to do.”

When the twins were born, physicians discussed the option of separating them. However, Patty and Mike, their parents, opted out of the surgery upon learning that there was minimal likelihood of both twins surviving the operation.
“How could you pick between the two?” Mike said in a 2001 interview with TIME.
Knowing that other conjoined twins have married, he thought, why not? “They’re good-looking girls. They’re witty. They’ve got everything going for them, except they’re together,” Mike said.
