Israel Adesanya, the middleweight champion of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), is trending online when it was revealed that his ex-girlfriend wants half of his fortune.
They supposedly dated for a very long period but Adesanya and the woman, Charlotte Powdrell, never got married.Sean O’Malley, a UFC fighter, reportedly voiced his anger at the demands made by the woman to Adesanya on a podcast.
On his podcast, he said, “They are not married right they were never married I didn’t believe it she want’s half of his s*t.”
”I don’t know how their relationship was ever because I didn’t even know he had a girlfriend, but to want half of his s*t to want half of what he’s gone out there and done is absolutely ridiculous.”
”I mean it’s hard to say who knows maybe if they were together for 15 years since the beginning and she didn’t work because she was constantly making him food massage and at the gym doing all this stuff for him.”
Adesanya has created an empire thanks to his prowess as a top fighter and amazing entrepreneurial skills.
Charlotte, who doesn’t have children with her ex, feels she has a claim to Adesanya’s fortune because she helped him succeed as UFC Champion and because they dated for a very long time.
The majority of fans and commenters appear to concur with Adesanya and O’Malley in this case, saying that she is improperly seeking to profit on his fame and fortune rather than the time and commitment they shared.
It’s still unclear how the lawsuit will turn out in the end, despite some arguing that if their agreement and the help she provided can be validated, she may have a legitimate claim.
