Loroo Emmanuel Esekon, a dedicated volunteer at the Drilling Unit within the Department of Water Services in Turkana, has secured a cash prize of Sh 500,000 by emerging victorious in the Presidential Innovation Challenge Award 2023 finals.
This financial achievement marks his second accolade, following his previous receipt of a trophy at the Devolution Heroes Competition in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County in August 2023.

He ingeniously incorporates climate-smart techniques and utilizes recycled metallic waste materials.
His contributions extend beyond his creative endeavors, as he actively engages in mentoring youth, encouraging them to pursue vocational skills training for future development.
The cash prize was presented to him in the form of a cheque during the Kenya Innovation Week at the Edge Convention Centre in Nairobi.
