TURKANA GOVERNOR JEREMIAH LOMORUKAI MAKES CHANGES TO THE COUNTY EXECUTIVE

Today, Turkana Governor Jeremiah Lomorukai announced adjustments to the County Executive Committee Members and County Chief Officers through Executive Order No: 08/2023.

The Governor has implemented the following modifications in the CECMs:
1. Francis Mariao moves from the Ministry of Tourism Culture, Environment, Energy and Natural Resources to the Ministry of Health Services and Sanitation.
2. Elizabeth Loote transferred from the Ministry of Trade, Enterprise Development, Cooperatives, Gender and Youth Affairs to the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Environment, Energy and Natural Resources
3. Dr Anthony Apalia Ekakoron PhD has been transferred from the Ministry of Health Services and Sanitation to the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock Development and Fisheries.
4. David Erukudi currently the CECM for Agriculture, Livestock Development and Fisheries has been moved to the Ministry of Trade, Enterprise Development, Cooperatives, Gender and Youth Affairs.
The other County Executives remain in their current roles, and the county boss has also implemented modifications to the County Chief Officers.
1. Samwel Ekaale Ekitela, currently the Chief Officer for Trade, Enterprise Development and Cooperatives has been transferred to the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning as Chief Officer, Economic Planning.
2. Robert Bob Loyelei, currently County Chief Officer for Sports and Vocational Training transferred to the Ministry of Trade, Enterprise Development, Co-operatives, Gender and Youth Affairs as County Chief Officer, Trade, Enterprise Development and Cooperatives.
3. Simon Etom, currently County Chief Officer for Water Services transferred to the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Natural Resources and Climate Change as County Chief Officer, Tourism, Culture and Heritage.
4. Triza Amoni, currently County Chief Officer for Tourism, Culture and Heritage remain in the same Ministry and transferred to the Department of Energy and Mining as County Chief Officer.
5. Maraka Namus David, currently County Chief Officer for Energy and Mining transferred to the Ministry of Water Services as County Chief Officer, Water Services.
6. Korikel John Ayangan, currently County Chief Officer for Economic Planning transferred to the Ministry of Education, Sports and Social Protection as County Chief Officer, Sports and Vocational Training.
7. Cathra Abidi, currently the County Chief Officer for Municipalities and Urban Areas Management transferred to the Ministry of Roads, Transport and Public Works as County Chief Officer, Public Works.
8. Nakaale Lotieng Marian, currently County Chief Officer for Public Works transferred to the Ministry of Lands, Physical Planning and Urban Areas Management as County Chief Officer, Municipalities and Urban Areas Management
