Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki has officially declared Wednesday, April 10, 2024, as a public holiday through gazettement to mark Eid-Ul-Fitr.
This holiday is designated to commemorate Eid-ul-Fitr.
“In exercise of the powers conferred by section 2 (1) of the Public Holidays Act, I declare Wednesday, April 10 2024, shall be a public holiday to mark Idd-ul-Fitr,” Kindiki said.
Eid-ul-Fitr holds significant religious importance for Muslims, signifying the conclusion of the month-long fasting observance of Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar.
