Two Wells Fargo Company employees have disappeared, along with Ksh. 94,918,750 that had been gathered from Quickmart supermarket.
According to a police report issued on Monday, the company’s driver, Anthony Ndiuki, and Charles Mugetha, departed from the South C office at approximately 8:30 a.m.
They left in the company’s vehicle, deviating from the usual practice of having a police escort, carrying Ksh. 94.9 million.
The funds originated from the weekend revenue of Quickmart supermarkets and were intended for deposit at the Family Bank branch on Kenyatta Avenue.
The said motor vehicle was found dumped at Dafam area South C, next to the southern bypass, without the suspects and the money missing,” reads a police statement.
The DCIO from Langata is investigating the issue, and the scene was visited by the OCS.
