Burna Boy becomes the first African musician to sell out a stadium in the United Kingdom, with 60,000 people attending his performance at West Ham United’s stadium.

The show that took place on June 3, 2023, is remembered as a historic moment for Afrobeats since it documents both Burna Boy’s quick rise to international fame and the rapid development of the genre.

For Nigerian music industry stakeholders and fans, the London Stadium event is a tremendous moment.

They were happy to see Afrobeats move from selling out theaters to the O2, and now a stadium.

The mega-popular song “YE,” which the stadium enthusiastically sung along to, was among the hit songs performed by Burna Boy for fans.

After Kanye West’s album of the same name attracted the attention of listeners worldwide in 2018, Burna Boy’s international rise began.

Recently, Burna Boy received two Grammy nominations for his songs “Last Last” (for the Global Song category) and “Love, Damini” (for the World Album category).
