Liverpool FC and Real Madrid will go head to head on Saturday, May 28 at the Stade de France for a chance to be crowned Kings of Europe once again.
Liverpool Six time winners will face, Real Madrid 13-time winners.
According to BBC sport, these two European heavyweights locked horns for the first time in the 1980-81 European Cup final and have met on seven occasions since, treating supporters the world over to fabulous goals, virtuoso solo performances and the odd sprinkling of controversy.
Carlo Ancelotti hopes that Real Madrid will carry the day.
‘No we don’t want another comeback. We hope it will be Liverpool who will be trying to come back,’ he joked at Real Madrid’s Valdebebas training ground earlier this week.
‘The three hours before the game are bad – the stress, the sweating, the negative thoughts. I have suffered this season more than most and there are no pills that you can take, you just have to bear it.’
