NMG Fires Seasoned News Anchor Mark Masai

In an effort to reduce its cost, Nation Media Group has let go of employees, including prime-time news anchor Mark Masai.

Masai, who had spent 14 years working for the media outlet on Kimathi Street, acknowledged the report and said it was time to move on after a successful career at Nation.

Mr. Masai is arguably one of Kenya’s best news anchors, with a keen understanding of current issues and political trends.

He took to social media and shared a short video of his moments on air since his debut in 2008.
